Welcome to our beautiful and sunny Brevard County!

Proud home to the Kennedy Space Center, which gives us our “Space Coast” name, the Patrick Air Force Base, and just 50 miles east of Orlando and the Disney attractions.

Our Beaches

   Take pleasure in having 72 miles of gorgeous coastline, which can be enjoyed for the majority of the year given our subtropical climate. Join the locals at The Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, where surf fests and competitions are hosted all throughout the year, located by the famous Cocoa Beach Pier. Need a vacation? Head up to Port Canaveral, in the northern part of Brevard, and take a cruise. (It's the second busiest cruise port in the world!)

Our parks

   Take the family and unwind at one of the many parks we have here in the county. As an environmental conscious resident here, I'm proud to say we are home to more than 17,000 acres of environmentally endangered lands sanctuaries and conservation areas and many of the county parks in Brevard are working to preserve the sensitive ecosystem in the neighborhoods. Brevard County works together with the federal and state government to control pollution and preserve wetlands and coastal areas through lands dedicated to conservation and wildlife protection.

   Also enjoy access to our waterways by boat ramps at many of our parks; camping, beach and lake swimming along with various venues for water sports including sailing, windsurfing, surfing, rowing, catamaran, canoe, kayaking, and fishing. We also have The Brevard Zoo which is home to over 550 animals, and has activities for the whole family to learn and have fun all day!

Sports Fans

   Sport fans will enjoy having the Space Coast Stadium in Viera which is home to our MLB team, the Brevard County Manatees. We also offer championship golf courses, including the award winning Baytree National which is our PGA Tour quality course and has attained a 4 star Golf Digest rating, and won the Best of Brevard for the past two years. Also is The Habitat at Valkaria located in the southern part of the county near the Indian River Lagoon, The Savannahs in Merritt Island for a more challenging play, and many more in-between!

Shopping & Art

   If shopping is what you're looking for-we have large indoor malls in Melbourne and Merritt Island (so convenient no matter what part of the county you live in), in addition to the Historic Downtown Cocoa. Stop by The Avenues in Viera for a day full of outdoor shopping, along with fine dining and a movie theater all nestled together.

   Take part in one of our many annual festivals, guaranteed entertainment for the whole family. From the popular Grant Seafood Festival, to the Indian River Festival, which is held along the scenic Indian River Lagoon directly across from the Kennedy Space Center, there is always something going on.

   The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne provides a wide variety of musical, theatrical, and intellectual shows on a year-round basis. Tour stops from famed artists have performed here, such as Olivia Newton-John, Josh Groban, James Taylor, Enrique Iglesias, and many others.
